1. The both sides of the equation should be equal to each other.

2. The number that is next to the (x) should be removed.

​

3. Some equations have many numbers that are next to (x), we have to follow the same steps. We just change the operation to its opposite and apply this on the both sides.

4. If you had (5x) in the equation, it means 5 multiplied by x.
